NOFX: The Decline EP NOFX's 1999 EP entitled "The Decline" is not only their best work to date, but what I believe to be the best punk EP ever. For those of you who haven't heard this EP(i.e. had your head in your ass going on 5 years), you should. Clocking in at a little over 18 minutes long, you might be thinking, "Wow, a NOFX song that's 18 minutes long!!! I'd rather spend that time digging myself a shallow grave!!" But this monster of rock contains enough musical variety to never get old, even upon consecutive repeated listenings. As any good punk album should, "The Decline" also addresses a wide variety of social issues such as nationalism, religion, gun control, drug legislation, democracy, chemical imbalances, economics AND THAT'S JUST THE FIRST HALF!!!!!!!!! Seriously, you should listen to and love this album if but for no reason except the badass horn section. |
